Seated Heat Records is happy to announce that they are having a music video premiere party for CELICA at the Bryant Lake Bowl Theater. This visual album is done by Nick Barbeln, Oakland, CA.
At this event, a McKnight Theater Artist Fellow, Masanari Kawahara is having a Butoh dance performance with live music by CELICA (Sho Nikaido).
CELICA is the solo project of Sho Nikaido. Conceived in the winter of 2010, Nikaido recorded the lyrical, dystopian psych album "Bouquet for the Sunset U've Never Seen" in his bedroom. Lo-fi but meticulously arranged, it traverses folk, punk, pop, and electronic, and sounds like a synthesis of Vincent Gallo and Frank Ocean.
