2013 Building Energy Efficiency Standards
Please join us at the AIACV chapter for an informative discussion highlighting the anticipated changes for the 2013 Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Title 24 - Effective January 1, 2014).  Topics for the conversation / presentation will include how these changes to Title 24 will impact:

        Daylight harvesting - Skylight design considerations
        Office furniture systems / design considerations
        LED lighting - design considerations
        Lighting + Controls - energy conservation
        Display lighting + controls
        Changes in primary and secondary zoning controls
        Measurement and Verification
        Demand response

The presentation has been prepared by Leviton and Lighting Systems and will be lead by Ron France and Marty Walter.  Both Ron and Marty are recognized as experts in the profession and have presented this material to lighting designers, electrical engineers and communication specialist all over Northern California.

About the Presenters:

Marty Walter is a Lighting Controls Specialist with the lighting Manufacturers Rep Firm Lighting Systems of Northern California.  Marty has over 20 years experience in the lighting and electrical industries. His current responsibilities cover all facets of lighting control systems including sales, quotations and commissioning of systems.

Ron France has been an electrical engineer in the building design industry for over 20 years.  His project expertise includes all facets of electrical design, communications design, planning and close out documentation.  Ron was a principal in a lighting rep agency for 6 years in which he was responsible for all technical and lighting control lines.  His clients included specifiers, contractors and electrical distributors.  Ron was an instructor at Baker College teaching lighting design, AutoCad, building systems and other similar classes required for interior designers.  He is currently working as a technical sales specialist (regional engineer) for Leviton Lighting and Energy Systems for Northern California.  Ron specializes in his knowledge of Title 24, modern lighting control systems, and measurement and verification.
