BAND Cabaret is an ongoing Twin Cities cabaret that focuses on serving those that serve others. Through The BAND Group's mission to bring awareness and exposure to other nonprofits, every night brings a new nonprofit to new audiences, connecting performers and people with the good work that's being performed in our community.
On Sunday, April 14, actress and producer Colleen Somerville (co-creator of last year's Fringe Festival hit "Not Fair, My Lady!") joins us for a night of bold women singing bold songs about bold women. Along with Ms. Somerville, the evening will feature a dazzling line up Twin Cities musical theatre powerhouses including Anna Weggel, Britta Ollmann, Courtney Miner, Emily Dussault, Falicia Nichole, Gracie Anderson, Kecia Beth Stimmler Rehkamp, Laurel Armstrong, Leslie Vincent, Maisie Twesme, Mandi Verstegen, Marcie Berglund, Suzie Juul, and more.
In keeping with Ms. Somerville's work, and the mission of The BAND Group, this special edition BAND Cabaret will be raising funds for the Women's Theatre Initiative, a new project to provide financial and artistic support for women-created and women-led women-centric theatre and musical theatre.
