2016 CBC Regulations for Clinics [OSHPD 3] Training - 2ND OFFERING
Presented by Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD)
The 2016 California Building Code (2016 CBC) includes Section 1226, regulations for outpatient clinics, required by the State of California to comply with the amendments identified as OSHPD 3. These regulations apply to specific types of clinics including clinics that provide outpatient clinical services of a hospital within a freestanding building.
Attendees will gain an understanding of the correct application of Clinic Requirements of the 2016 California Building Standards Code (CBSC), and about differences in regulations between the OSHPD 3 clinic types listed in the 2016 CBSC.
a) Become familiar with the 2016 California Mechanical Code and 2016 California Plumbing Code minimum code requirements (Mechanical and Plumbing provisions) b) Become familiar with the 2016 California Electrical Code minimum code requirements (Electrical provisions) c) Become familiar with the 2016 California Building Code (CBC) minimum code requirements, (CBC 1226 Outpatient Facilities, OSHPD 3 and relevant 11B Accessibility sections) d) 2016 CBC Section 1224 general Architectural provisions that apply to medical facilities.
