Over the decades, Eric Andersen has fine-tuned a unique songwriting style that combines the poetic and the plainspoken, the throb of an open heart, and the perpetual motion of a soul on fire.  A fixture in the folk world since the 1960s, Andersen has penned songs recorded by Judy Collins, Linda Ronstadt, John Denver and The Grateful Dead.  He enjoyed an early association with poets Alan Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and Lawrence Ferlinghetti.  His musical tribute to that era, Beat Avenue, has led to international appearances with poets commemorating the Beat era.  In concert Andersen delivers his songs in a whispery rasp that draws the audience close for a night of intimate music and stories. Tonight Eric will be accompanied by Scarlet Rivera on violin and Cheryl Prashker on percussion.
