Through The BAND Group's mission to bring awareness and exposure to other nonprofits, each BAND Cabaret spotlights a new nonprofit, connecting performers and audiences with the good work that's being performed in our community.

On Monday, March 25, rising Twin Cities musical-theatre stars Lydia Wagner and Katie O'Halloran genderbend the musical theatre songbook; singing songs from all the male roles that they would be PERFECT for if people gave them a chance. Joining them will be pianist John Lynn and some special guests to be announced.

In keeping with the mission of BAND Cabaret, this cabaret will spotlight the work of Gender Justice, a St. Paul-based nonprofit legal and policy advocacy organization devoted to addressing the causes and consequences of gender inequality, both locally and nationally. Through Impact and Strategic Litigation, Policy Advocacy, and Public Education and Training, they address cognitive bias as a root cause of inequality and counteract the most harmful consequences of inequality by dismantling the gender-based barriers that prevent full participation in our economy and our society.
