For 30 years Tempest has dialed up the energy on Irish, Scottish, and Norwegian folk music. They've released seventeen critically acclaimed albums and played more than 2,500 gigs at some of the most prominent venues and festivals around the world. The group is fronted by founding member and electric mandolinist Lief Sorbye. Sorbye is joined by Kathy Buys on the fiddle, Micro Melone on the bass, Kevin Florian on guitar, and Adolfo Lazo on the drums.
This year the group celebrates its 30th Anniversary with the latest studio album, Thirty Little Turns, a collection of inspired new original and traditional material -- with a cheeky surprise or two.
