On Tuesday March 19 at 6:30 The Rochmon Record Club will converge to listen, learn about and discuss The Doobie Brothers The Captain & Me at Caffe Lena, 47 Phila Street in Saratoga Springs. The Captain & Me was The Doobie Brothers 3rd album released 46 years ago, on March 2, 1973, and features The Doobies at the height of their popularity. Singers, Guitarists and Songwriters Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons struck gold with hits like Long Train Runnin, China Grove and Without You. The Listening Party begins at 7pm with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka Rochmon. A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, the songs and the stories that went into the making this wonderful album.
The Caffe Lena kitchen will be open for light food and drinks. Alcohol will not be served during this event. Tickets are available online at www.caffelena.org The Rochmon Record Club is presented by Universal Preservation Hall and underwritten by Bank of America, LooKTV Online, Hydroshield and Saratoga Guitar.
