Sing a Song for Me: Bob Dylan's Legacy at Caffe Lena
Caffe Lena Saratoga Springs, NY
Share this event:
It goes without saying that Bob Dylan has had the greatest impact of any musician who has ever played the Caffe Lena stage. Tonight, one week before Dylan returns to Saratoga (at SPAC), we spotlight his influence on today's generation of independent music-makers. Six artists will showcase a Dylan song that has particular personal meaning, and a couple of their original songs inspired by his style.
Performers are: Danny Whitecotton, M.R. Poulopoulos, Joel Brown, Zan Strumfeld, BearGrass & Ben Himmelfarb.
This will be a night for enjoying nostalgic Dylan classics and discovering the wealth of talent that thrives in our region thanks in part to a handful of performances by a then-unknown folksinger at new club in Saratoga Springs back in 1961 and 1962.
This performance is a fundraiser for Caffe Lena.
