With a career spanning more than fifty years, John Hammond Jr. has built a monumental resume. Since first entering the music scene during the 1960s folk revival, Hammond has recorded 34 albums, won a Grammy Award, and been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. He takes bedrock blues numbers into the stratosphere with powerful guitar, harmonica, passionate vocals and a dignified stage presence. He has made music with John Lee Hooker, Roosevelt Sykes, Duane Allman, Eric Clapton, and Jimi Hendrix and is responsible for introducing Bob Dylan to the Band in 1965. Tom Waits calls him "a force of nature," and T. Bone Burnett says he's "a master and virtuoso." Hammond first appeared on our stage in 1963 and it's a great honor and joy to have him back!
Opening the show will be up and coming blues guitarist, Quentin Callewaert.
