Tre
"USA, 110 MIN, WEST COAST PREMIERE Director: Eric Byler Writer: Kimberly Wolter-Rose Producer: Phillippe Diaz Starring: Daniel Cariaga, Kimberly Wolter-Rose, Erik McDowell, Alex Koromzay
TRE is a narrative about trust and misplaced trust amongst human interaction in shared living quarters. Tre is an egotistical, overly laid back son of wealthy parents who overstays his welcome at his engaged friends Gabe and Kakela's home. As Gabe takes off during the day to work, Kakela's attempts at working on her writing are undermined by Tre's constant obnoxious and intentional interruptions at home. Sexual tension mounts between Kakela and Tre as they exchange a tirade of disagreements and fights. Gabe is eventually left in the background and Kakela begins to doubt her future marriage as Tre poses questions to Kakela about her true ambitions in life. On a clear night, after getting high, Kakela and Tre begin speaking indirectly about the feelings they are developing for one another. Once Tre has spoken the unspeakable, he and Kakela decide to make a deal, the result of which will change their lives forever. "
