Nicole Nelson and Dwight Ritcher make up the American roots band DWIGHT & NICOLE. This project began out of a shared love of classic soul and blues music, following the footsteps of greats such as Mavis Staples, John Lee Hooker, Sam Cooke, Nina Simone, and Etta James. Ritcher and Nelson have made a name for themselves around the Northeast as captivating performers, multi-instrumentals, and strong songwriters. They possess powerful voices that stop you in your tracks and command your attention. The two trade off singing lead while Ritcher plays masterful electric guitar, and Nelson lays down deep grooves on the bass. The recent addition of Ezra Oklan on the drums provides the perfect underlying rhythm.
