Violinist Alissa Jacobsen is a classically trained violinist who has played a variety of music in the past 22 years. These two women met in college and have been playing classical and jazz music over the years. This new project was inspired by Anika when she heard Holsts 4 songs for Voice and Violin. Thus began a search for music that explores the compelling nature of melody unsupported by accompanying instruments. Together, they curated a program for the season with themes of winter landscapes and the mysticism that lies therein.
