An Afternoon with Acoustic Eidolon
This Sunday afternoon concert performance features the acoustic duo of Hannah Alkire on cello and Joe Scott on a unique double neck guitgo (a custom acoustic guitar built by Joe). Based in Colorado but performing throughout the world, their music ranges from Celtic to folk, Flamenco to classical and even some classic rock. Blending musical influences from their different backgrounds, together they create musical poetry. Although mostly instrumental, their performance includes vocal pieces and entertaining dialog. The Swallow Hill Music Association has described their performance one "of brilliant instrumentality" and the Boulder Weekly as "a sublime acoustic duo."
This event is a fundraiser for the Broomfield Library Friends Foundation and will also feature a silent auction of gifts and services before the concert and during the intermission.
