Slow Burn Burlesque with This Stunted Sextette
Slow Burn Burlesque is the most thrilling show in New Orleans! Combining classic style and glamour with punk rock attitude, and rock and roll fury, Slow Burn sets stages on fire with outrageous antics, glamorous routines, and hilarious behavior. Each show is bursting with over the top entertainment provided by our seductive core cast of performers and special guests from around the world, all to the quakin' sounds of our live band, This Stunted Sextette.
Slow Burn Burlesque will take the stage of the Howlin' Wolf on Saturday May 18th to rock you with the wildest burlesque show in New Orleans! There's no shortage of amazing entertainment for this one folks. In the house we're gonna have our special guest Monsieur Lind. Monsieur Lind is the acrobatic partner of our co-producer, Ginger Licious. Together they perform awesome feats of ability and agility as the duo The Acromantics. This year they won the title of "Best Duet" at the Southern Fried Burlesque Festival in Atlanta and they will be performing their award winning act on May 18th! In addition, Monsieur Lind will be performing his first ever boylesque act, and Ginger Licious will wow you with her sensual burlesque moves!
Also, we will feature the many talents of the girl who's known as "The Best Booty in The Big Easy", the fabulous Roxie le Rouge. Roxie is one of the hardest working gals in burlesque. She's a full time member of both Slow Burn Burlesque and Fleur de Tease, and she is the producer of her very own show, Big Deal Burlesque. She is a master of the art of classic burlesque and her neo-burlesque numbers will bring you to your knees.
The Lady Lucerne will join us to crank up the outrageous level! Known for impersonating nuns and doing very naughty things to a big wheel, Lady Lucerne doesn't just push boundaries, she busts them wide open. Will she impersonate a drag queen and give you a piece of her business, will she make fun of drunk pregnant people, or will she eat you alive? You're gonna have to come to the show to find out what kind of antics she'll pull next.
Ruby Rage is gonna light up the stage with her powerful stage persona, elaborate costumes, and completely bad behavior. Known as the Country Cutie, she will entice you with her Southern charm and then stomp on your heart with her shiny cowgirl boots. Get ready to be tempted and teased until your soul is screaming for more!
As always we will have our bad to the bone emcee, the very irreverant, Ben Wisdom to keep the show moving between acts with his unique style of dirty humor and biting wit. Get ready to laugh, blush, and shout with joy as Ben Wisdom leads you on a dirty journey to burlesque salvation.
All of our acts will be accompanied by the coolest band in New Orleans, This Stunted Sextette. This Stunted Sextette is a powerhouse band that can do it all. When asked what genre they are they say "We sound like a different band every song". They're gonna play swing, jazz, rock a billy, punk, country, and more! The band is led by the multi talented and hilarious Dr. Sick who plays guitar, violin, saw, kazoo, trombone, and just about any damn instrument you can think of. Joining him are the awesome Hannah KB on Keys, Mike Singleton on upright bass, and Nielson Bernard on drums.
