Regionalism & Excellence in Residential Housing (2018 Experience Architecture)
IN COLLABORATION WITH THE AlA CENTRAL VALLEY
CUSTOM RESIDENTIAL ARCHITECTS NETWORK (CRAN)

The AIA Central Valley desigNarrative Series is excited to host esteemed architect, Takashi Yanai, FAIA of Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects, recipient of the 2015 AIA National Firm Award, for a presentation and dialogue on innovative and regionally sensitive residential design.

For the last 15 years Mr. Yanai has led the firms residential studio, designing award-winning residences that have been recognized for their lasting and profound articulation of the relationship between man and nature  underscoring architectures power to enhance environments. Architectural Digest has noted that his firm has a unique outlook on California living.

By blurring the boundaries between the built and natural environment, and through details and materials, the firm maximizes the connection between site and natural surroundings.

The evening includes light refreshments and a presentation of Mr. Yanais work, followed by an open dialogue and Q&A session. Event founded by Jack Paddon, AIA, Tyler Babcock, AIA, Brian Sehnert, AIA; with leadership provided by Maria Ogrydziak, AIA, Cody Carpino, AIA, and Kevin Young, Assoc. AIA.

SPONSORS: Comstocks magazine, California Surveying & Drafting Supply, Fulcrum Properties, Lionakis, Milgard Windows & Doors, SMUD, Williams + Paddon Architects + Planners and Humboldt Redwood.
