About Esterlina Winery
"Quietly making wines that are too good to ignore."
"Our family believes wine growing is all about the land. Based on that belief, we sought out sites in the finest appellations and planted superior clones. Through experimentation, patience and a little luck, we feel we have created exceptional wines. We are confident that after you sample our wines, you will agree."
Esterlina Vineyards & Winery produces award-winning wines with international demand and recognition. Esterlina is the largest African- American owned family Vineyard and Winery operation in the U.S. Esterlina Winery celebrates it 10-Year Anniversary in 2011.
The Sterling's were growers in Sonoma and Mendocino Counties before establishing their own winery operation in 2001. Esterlina currently farms vineyards in 4 different appellations, making nearly all their releases from their own grapes. California farmers & winemakers for 3 generations, the Sterlings have pooled their collective talents and experience from farming, medicine, law and business to drive the successful family wine enterprise. The family currently bottles and produces all their wines at their Everett Ridge Winery in Sonoma County's growing wine hub, Healdsburg, just minutes from the downtown square. A visit to their Philo or Healdsburg tasting rooms is a must for those who love wine, beautiful natural settings or hospitality.
