04/19, Fri 8:30 ~ MILTON; also JAY ERICKSON of Red Rooster ~ $15 +$2 processing
. MILTON:
Milton first came to the attention of a wide variety of audiences when In The City, the exuberant song from his debut album, became a college radio hit. Since then, this singer/songwriter with an unforgettable voice and elegant charm has gained widespread acclaim, playing consistently sold-out shows in the New York area. The energetic and accomplished performer creates original music which hovers in a distinctively NYC intersection of rhythm & blues, pop, folk-rock and country. Milton's striking lyrics are as intelligent as they are soulful, and come from a keen, compassionate, and witty observation of our current moment.

JAY ERICKSON of Red Rooster:
Jay Erickson is better known to Towne Crier audiences as the front man/singer/songwriter for Red Rooster, a folk collective who fashion plainly honest and self-reflective songs from fragments of their diverse musical influences and sensibilities, playing a mix of original and traditional bluegrass, blues and folk, and evolving into highly original and eclectic sound all its own. "...a unique patchwork quilt of musicians and influences. -Relix; "One lovely song after another, gorgeous singing and a deliciously underproduced sound." -Sarasota Herald-Tribune; "...a journey through the heart of Americana and roots music." -Houston Chronicle. For the past few years, Jay has made Pawling his home.
