Tonight Rochmon Record Club celebrates its first anniversary at Caffe Lena! This wildly popular monthly event has outgrown its original unticketed format. We now offer guaranteed assigned seating to all ticket buyers, and will potentially add a second show later in the week to accommodate overflow as needed.
This month The Rochmon Record Club (if you show up, you're a member!) will converge to listen, learn about and discuss The Doors' eponymous debut album The Doors.
The Doors took the world stage in 1967--an amazing year for Rock & Roll. Their psychedelic sound and charismatic lead singer, Jim Morrison, made "The Doors" one of the best-selling albums of all time. Recorded over 6 days The Doors, featuring songs such Break on Through (To The Other Side), Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar) and the #1 Light My Fire, were on the radio constantly.
A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, and the songs and the stories that went into the making each carefully selected iconic album. Along with illuminating stories, facts and images, we will listen to the album song by song on the Caffe's world-class sound system.
The Caffe's menu of savory fare, house-made desserts, coffees, teas and soft drinks will be available. We do not serve wine or beer at Rochmon events. Rochmon is a 'sober safe zone' and open to all ages.
Rochmon Record Club is presented in cooperation with Universal Preservation Hall and underwritten by LooKTV Online, Turning Point Chiropractic, Hydroshield and Saratoga Guitar.
