Rainy Day Cooking Summer Camp
Advanced Baking Camp:
From pastries to pies to mousses and lava cakes, students will brainstorm and vote on what they want to learn to make. Exploring the importance of: local ingredients, scratch cooking and natural preservatives, we will discuss the science of baking and the roles ingredients play in making our baked goods. While our confections are cooking, we will cover basic knife skills and food safety. We end the week by making dinner that will be baked at home to be enjoyed by their families!
Prerequisite: For grade 4th through 8th
