Luke Spehar has all three in spades, singing, writing and guitar playing ~Ben Harper~
Luke Spehars latest, The Pilgrim, maintains the earthy and honest acoustic sound he is known for, yet shows an evolution in his musical journey. Hoping to keep this project close to home, Spehar teamed up with Matt Patrick of The Library Recording Studio in Minneapolis. The Pilgrim is an album that celebrates some of Spehar's greatest adventures including traveling America, marrying the love of his life and becoming a father.
Luke Spehar is a nationally known recording artist and songwriter. He grew up in Chisago City, MN, a small town outside of Minneapolis/St. Paul. The subtle Midwest influences can be felt throughout his music. Spehar independently recorded and released his first two albums, Be Still and No Other Way. In 2012, Spehar opened for three-time Grammy Award Winner Ben Harper, on tour in USA and Canada. Harper went on to co-produce Spehar's third album, All Is Gift.
Luke and his wife lived out of van and toured America with the Harper produced album- an experience that became the catalyst for his latest project, The Pilgrim. From the humorous stories of life lived on the road as newlyweds, to the lyrics and melodies that cut straight to the heart, Luke Spehar live has captivated audiences around the country. Spehars intricate finger style guitar work on both a six and a twelve-string guitar and his distinct voice, combined with other textures like Aaron Fabbrinis pedal steel and upright bass skills is a musical experience you wont want to miss.
