The 7x Canadian Folk Music Award winning mandolin maestro Andrew Collins is at the epicenter of Canada's burgeoning acoustic/roots music scene. He has co-founded noteworthy Canadian bands such as the Creaking String Quartet, the Foggy Hogtown Boys and now the Andrew Collins Trio.
Collins' trio showcases a popular collision of bluegrass, folk, jazz, classical, and swing. Andrew Collins leads the group with mandolin family instruments, with guitarist Mike Mezzatesta and bassist James McEleney. Their dynamic, genre-hopping show is further enhanced by Andrew's captivating lead vocals and James' soaring harmonies.
Andrew's ability to meld multiple genres is simply unforgettable and we are honored to have his trio as a part of our Bright New Music Series this month.
