BLACK RIVER REVUE
Freshwater bluegrass from the twin ports of Duluth, MN and Superior, WI. Using a bluegrass instrumentation BRR has crafted their own sound made up of mostly original music which can be heard on their debut album "Garbage Pickin" (released in April of 2013). Their sophomore album "Spring Thaw" (released June 2014) added another year of songwriting and live performance experience to their sound. Five years of touring, personnel change, and personal growth has inspired a third record, "Just Can't Win" (Release September 2017).
THIRSTY RIVER
A commune of 5 north country men of varying heights and width that write and perform music in the beautiful frozen landscape of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Hailing from various corners of the Twin Cities metro area, the Thirsty River came to their 5 piece alignment of Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Bass, and Piano in the Spring of 2014. Drawing from an eclectic set of influences the Thirsty River's unique take on a stringband lineup finds a balance between novel and familiar by way of a genuine performance. With tonight's release of their first full length album in "Through this World of Woe", the Thirsty River shares an eclectic set of tunes tied together by their retrospective approach toward the interpretation of personal experiences, effectively documenting the group's journey through time.
