#TheFeels presented by Visions Merging, Soul Tools Entertainment, andJazz88 is where hip hop and jazz meet. It's a night of live instrumentation featuring singers, poets, emcees, comedians and more. The Feels (formerly The Feel Good Revolution) provides a space for art, entertainment, and healing to become synonymous with monthly themes dedicated to removing the stigma of mental health and healthy lifestyle choices. Throughout the night artists will perform content that inspires them to be their best selves.
TISH JONES (host)
Tish Jones is a poet, educator and organizer from Saint Paul, MN. Currently serving as the Founder & Executive Director of TruArtSpeaks, Jones has performed on multiple stages in the Twin Cities and beyond, presented at TEDxMinneapolis, directed the international Brave New Voices youth poetry slam festival and had her work published on several platforms. A true lover of Hip Hop culture, black people and water, Tish Jones is here to shake things up!
LIZ GRE
Liz Lassiter, known as Liz Gre, previously known as Sankophoenix, is a classicly trained vocalist, songwriter, and audiophile who finds comfort between the sides on records. She is a former band member of the Soulflower Collective and is now the lead vocalist in her own band: Liz Gre. Liz made headlines in 2017 as the lead vocalist of the opera Mother King, playing the late mother of Dr. Reverend Martin Luther King.
SHAVUNDA BROWN
ShaVunda Brown is a Minneapolis based, internationally award winning spoken word artist, an actress, hip hop artist, and spirit guided writer. She uses her knowledge of African and African American spirituality, history, myths and the southern folklore of her upbringing and blends it with a sharp social consciousness to shed light on raw truths and weave stories of new visions and liberation. She is 1/2 of the hip hop duo Khem Clan and is set to start in the new PBS orginal series, "Art Is."
MAYYADDA
mayyadda is a singer-songwriter from minneapolis who aspires to use her music to make people slow down, find themselves in a story, and feel hopeful. she released her first ep, blue, at the beginning of 2016. her second ep, eightynine, released in february 2017.
QUEEN DREA
Queen Drea is a sound designer/composer, vocalist and performance artist who creates conceptual soundscapes by applying a poetic and often metaphorical language to her lyrics and compositions.

DJ MISS BRIT
Brittany is affectionately known as DJ Miss Brit when shes behind the 1s and 2s, and is the curator and DJ for the Icehouse residency called The Feels. Shes the official tour DJ for international hip-hop artist Toki Wright, and is one of the founding members of the MN Open Decks DJ Collective. DJ Miss Brits sound is as diverse and unique as her client list. With a sonic aesthetic rooted in eclectic soul and hip-hop she tells stories by weaving between the genres of funk, soul, r&b, trap, electronic, deep house, and more.
