Rachael & Vilray are a duo that grew from a shared reverence for the pop music of the 1930s and 40s and its wide range of emotions. With simple arrangements and a guitar for accompaniment, they perform original works and revive forgotten gems of the jazz big bands and western swing ensembles. Their sound recalls both the warmth of radio's golden age and the intimacy of parlor concerts in a time before recordings.
Price is the legendary frontwoman of Lake Street Dive. Vilray is a busy guitarist from Brooklyn. Rachael and Vilray have been friends and collaborators since their days as fellow students at the New England Conservatory.
The Brother Brothers, aka identical twins Adam and David Moss, lean towards the darker, moody side of Appalachian folk and bluegrass traditions, singing in near perfect sibling harmonies or unison singing. With David on cello and guitar, and Adam on the 5-string fiddle, they have toured with Lake Street Dive, Sarah Jarosz and Eileen Ivers.
