After more than two decades on the road, the Kennedys are bursting with positive energy, big ideas, and new songs. They traverse a broad musical landscape, surveying power pop, acoustic folk, organic rock rooted in their early days in Austin, and a Byrds-inspired jangle that has drawn the attention of Roger McGuinn, Steve Earle, and most notably Nanci Griffith, with whom they collaborate regularly. Drawing heavily on the Woodstock movement for inspiration, their songs feature boy-girl harmonies and hummable guitar riffs, with lyrics that reflect a minimalist poetic sensibility. Theyve played countless clubs and festival stages around the world, and even performed at two presidential inaugurations.
