Saratoga Springs has long boasted a vibrant and diverse live music scene, with Caffe Lena being the place to go for an intimate listening experience that combines the refinement of a concert hall with the comfort of a living room. The recently rejuvenated performance space is now one of the best sounding music venues in the region. Caffe Lena is devoting the 1st Tuesday of each month to America's most original contribution to the musical palate, JAZZ. This continuing series will be hosted by resident composer, pianist and jazz master, Chuck Lamb, with support from music producer Joel Moss and Caffe Lena. JAZZ at Caffe Lena will feature collaborations between Chuck and internationally touring jazz artists, as well as many of the Capital Region's best.

Chuck Lamb, who has been a member of the Brubeck Brothers Quartet since 2002, is not only an exciting and emotive pianist in his own right, but also a prolific composer of jazz, fusion, classical and world music. Most recently, Chuck and his band have released a CD of his original acoustic fusion music, titled North By Northeast. The CD has been receiving airplay on major jazz stations and garnering new fans and rave reviews worldwide.

For October's series opener, Lamb is featuring three-time Grammy nominee Mike Moreno, a hot item on the New York jazz scene. Jazz guitarist Moreno is an extraordinary improviser, agile player and masterful arranger. Recognized as one of the leading voices in the Jazz guitar world, Moreno made his recording debut in 2007 with Between the Lines (World Culture Music) which reached the New York Times Top 10. A follow up album in 2012 made the 25 "Best of 2012" Jazz Releases on itunes. His latest release is 2015's sophisticated and serene Lotus.
Moreno and Lamb will be accompanied by John Mennagon on bass and Peter O'Brien on drums.
