Warm up for St. Patrick's Day with the Broken String Band, the Capital Region's oldest Irish Traditional Music band! This well-rounded quintet will perform classic Irish dance tunes and modern compositions in the tradition, as well as some great songs by Capital District bard George Ward. The band consists of founding band member and leader Ray Wall (hammered dulcimer, penny whistle, low d whistle, bodhran), co-founder George Ward (concertina, piano accordion, guitar, vocals), Peter Jones (fiddle), Eric Everson (Irish bouzouki, guitar, vocals), Kara Doyle (uilleann pipes, whistle, low d whistle, bodhran, vocals), and Hilary Schrauf (fiddle).
