'18 Handel's Messiah
Messiah is perhaps the world's most oft-performed piece for choir and orchestra. Beloved by audiences everywhere, Messiah is a musical commentary on the birth, passion, resurrection, and eternal reign of Christ. What makes Messiah such a timeless piece? For some it is the traditional and familiar choruses. Others find that the exquisite and energetic solo arias bring the work to life. For yet others, it is an affirmation of faith. Come enjoy this biennial performance and discover the answer for yourself. Pre-concert lecture begins 30 minutes before each concert.
