This is going to be a very fun, one-time-only show. Marshall and Dan have busy solo careers, but as friends they thought it might be cool to share a stage for a night. Lucky us! Crenshaw's sweet, honest power pop songs have fed the repertoires of Bette Midler, Ronnie Spector, the Gin Blossoms and his own albums on RCA, Warner Brothers and Razor & Tie. His signature songwriting style is melodic, hooky and emotionally true.
Dan Bern is comfortable and convincing, funny and topical, and tips his hat to the spirits Woody Guthrie, Johnny Cash, the Beatles, and young Bob Dylan. His songs are always literary, sometimes funny, often cinematic, and generate a surprising number of sing-alongs. In addition to his seventeen albums for adults and children, he has published a full-length novel, exhibited his paintings, writes prolifically for Hollywood films, and a recently released book of poetry called Reconsidering Nixon.
