Colleen Kattau made her Caffe Lena debut last summer singing with Holly Near. Tonight the Central New York activist songwriter returns with her own band performing her playful, poignant, do-right songs. She sings in English and Spanish on topical themes connected with war and peace, social change, and human rights in a voice that has been compared to Natalie Merchant and Shawn Colvin. Pete Seeger said of Colleen, "Joe Hill would be proud. A great singer and organizer at the same time." Colleen's Guys are Jamie Yaman on sax and flute and Mike Brandt on bass.
