In Memphis, we are serious about our BBQ, but it can be said that we are serious about ALL our food. Certainly, if there is an item that seems to come close to being as big a subject of interest and debate as BBQ in this City, it is the Hamburger. In Memphis we do the hamburger BIG, there's one place that measures them in pounds, we won't be going there, it's a tour of its own. But our tour will embrace Memphis' burger culture, from the favorites of the "King" (and we have several, don't we?), to the Peoples' choice, and some of the favorites of the Memphis Burger Blog. "Old School", 'Ol Soulburger", and some "Old Vitamin G", we'll cover ALL that and MORE! Be there, be hungry, and we'll take it from there! A little walking tour, a little Trolley ride, and a LOT of FUN. You might even learn a couple of things about Memphis before we're all through!
The tour will begin at the Hampton Inn-Beale Street (corner of 3rd St. and Peabody Place). Meet us in the lobby. Our friendly tour guide will be the Chef carrying the giant whisk.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the tour is to begin, wear comfortable walking shoes, and make sure you're hungry!
Each tour begins at 12:15pm at 175 Peabody Place (Hampton Inn & Suites on Beale) Space must be reserved. Advanced Ticket Purchase Required.
