Seattle Pro Musica is excited to participate in the city-wide Shakespeare festival, showcasing Seattle's world class cultural landscape. More than two dozen of Seattle's prominent arts organizations are joining forces in celebration of one of history's greatest writers. The festival will honor shared cultural touchstones that transcend the boundaries of artistic mediums and draw a local and national spotlight on the superb quality of Seattle's arts organizations.
Seattle Pro Musica will join more than two dozen renowned performing arts organizations in a citywide celebration of William Shakespeare. Sounds and Sweet Airs will showcase choral settings of poetry and prose by the Bard of Avon including world premieres from Northwest composers Jessica French, Don Skirvin, and Giselle Wyers.
Other participating organizations include Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, ACT A Contemporary Theatre, Early Music Guild, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Seattle International Film Festival, Seattle Repertory Theater, Seattle Theatre Group, The 5th Avenue Theatre, and many more.
