Tim Mercer
Join us on Tuesday April 11th at 7:00PM as Tim Mercer presents as benefit show for St. Lawrence Arts!
Tim Mercer is a singer/songwriter out of Portland, ME. He spent 12 years in Brooklyn, NY fronting the rock band, Daphne. During his time in New York, Tim won the K-Rock Battle of the Bands, and was the runner up in the HBO Rock The Stones Contest, as well as the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
'Casey' is the debut solo release of singer/songwriter, Tim Mercer. This collection of songs is the ongoing conversation between him and his wife, Casey, since her passing in June of 2011. The LP was released on July 5th, the 10th anniversary of the day they met.
Teaming up with producers PJ Bianco (Florence and the Machine, LP, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas), Marc Jordan (Velvet Revolver, The Cult), Jonathan Wyman (Rustic Overtones, Scott Sorry) and guitarist Pete Risano, the LP is a departure from Mercer's rock and roll roots, with a sound somewhere in between Peter Gabriel, Imagine Dragons and Jane's Addiction. The lyrics are soulful and genuine, taking the listener from the heartbreak of losing the love of a lifetime to the hope of reuniting when the time comes.
