Back in 1974, Pierre Bensusan was cutting his teeth in the Paris folk scene when banjo great Bill Keith offered the teenager paid work touring Western Europe with Keith's bluegrass band. The French-Algerian prodigy thereby humbly launched a four decade career which would earn him the nickname "Mozart of Guitar." After more than 3,000 concerts of his innovative, instrumental, jazz-classical-folk guitar music, Bensusan celebrated his 40th anniversary in 2016 with "Encore", a 3-CD, 35-track journey of live performances spanning his entire career and showcasing his risk-taking, in-the-moment style. His concerts are a relaxing and inspiring amalgam of in-the-moment creation and stories of a life on tour.
