Young Canadian musicians Luke Fraser from the Maritimes and prairie-girl Sarah Frank both grew up listening to The Beatles and Beethoven on cassette tapes, and both trained classically at McGill University in Montreal. They discovered a shared a love of folk songs and tunes from Canada, America, and the British Isles. As The Bombadils, they stand out for fluid, graceful instrumental dexterity infused with the intimacy and warmth of story-telling and kitchen parties. Their "chamber folk" repertoire of expertly arranged, tradition-based new music is played on guitar, mandolin, fiddle, claw-hammer banjo and pretty harmony vocals.
