RDDC TEEN COOKING WORKSHOP
TEEN Cooking Workshop:
In class, teens can learn some basic kitchen skills with a focus in baking. From pretzels and bread to real butter and quick jams, each day we will whip up something new. Discovering the importance of: local ingredients, scratch cooking and natural preservatives. We will discuss the science of baking and the role ingredients play in making our baked goods. While our confections are cooking, we will cover basic knife skills and food safety. Teens get to share and nominate dinners to make on the last day of class. We end the week by making the winning dinner that will be baked at home to be enjoyed by their families!

For: students ages 12-15 When: July 31st - Aug 4th Time: 1pm - 4pm Cost: $175 (all materials included, plus a dinner for a family of 4-6)
