Havana, Havana!
David Grubin showed his accomplished first feature, Downtown Express, at FilmColumbia last year. Now he is back with this fascinating documentary on Cuban music. It pulsates with the soul and energy of African-Cuban drummers and guitarists along with the singing of celebrated Cuban musician Raul Paz. The film also shines a light on Cub today. Many of the musicians had left Cuba, and recently returned, injecting a new spirit into Cuban music and mirroring Cuba's growing relationship with the outside world. 52min Not Rated
