On the Chicago and Los Angeles music scenes for some forty years, Bobby Schiff had led bands and orchestras, performed on piano and keyboards, and directed, composed and arranged for the bestMel Torme, Peggy Lee and Bobby Rydell among them. His classical training in piano performance began at age five. As an adult, Bobby has worked at Universal Recording Studios in Chicago and in Los Angeles, composing and arranging for film and television.
Stewart Miller is a graduate of music programs at the University of Kentucky and Northern Illinois University and a regular in jazz clubs, recording studios and festivals in and around Chicago. In the 1980s he toured for two years with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and came to Chicago in 1987. He is a member of the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic and an Instructor of Jazz Bass at the University of Illinois-Chicago and the Music Institute of Chicago. Stewart can be heard on recordings by jazz artists Orbert Davis, Russ Phillips, Bobby Schiff, Judy Roberts, and the legendary trombonist Curtis Fuller.
Vocalist Terry Sullivan sang in early music ensembles and smaller choirs before turning to jazz, and has been heavily involved in the music program at St. John Cantius. An Ohio native, she has a degree in flute from Ohio University, but began singing after college. Anita ODay and Blossom Dearie are influences. Ms. Sullivan sings in intimate venues in the Chicago area. In addition to traditional musical training beginning in grade four, she studied at the Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshops at the University of Louisville, Kentucky.
