AIACV Architecture Festival: Pecha Kucha Night
What is a Pecha Kucha? Drawing its name form the Japanese term for "chit-chat", it rests on a presentation format that is based on 20 images in 20 seconds. The format keeps presentations concise and moves the program at a rapid pace. Visit: www.pecha-kucha.org to learn more.
"Pecha Kucha" Night: Our Region's Residences" will feature residential projects, inventive art and music. After the presentation attendees are invited to go inside the Marrs Building (to the office of the HLA Group) to meet residential AIA Architects and enjoy complimentary wine tasting.

The festival mission is three-fold:
1. Highlight existing relationships between the region and its architecture.
2. Create an ongoing dialogue to inform a distinct, regional, architectural identity.
3. Facilitate greater transparency with the public in how architects create our built environment and how it impacts their daily lives.
Festival Dates: October 12 to October 28, 2012 Location: Varies by event
Founded in 1942 the American Institute of Architects, Central Valley Chapter, represents the interests of the architectural profession in 17 Central Valley counties.
