BurlyCon 2016 Nightlife Events
Its back! Tickets for your non-attending guests to the nightlife events returns for a second year! Thats right, the evening events you love are new available so your spouse, partner, best friend, current crush, mom, or anyone else can come with you.
Every year at BurlyCon, the burlesque educational convention, the days are filled with classes, workshops, and panel discussions. The evenings, on the other hand, are filled with events for our attendees; relaxation and networking are the aims of the evening.
Now you too can attend the evening events of BurlyCon even if you're not attending the full convention.
The Vintage Meet & Greet
Thu 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Kick off your weekend at Camp BurlyCon at the Vintage Meet-n-Greet Pool Party! On Thursday from 6-10 PM, join us in the Emeralds in your best retro pool party ensemble. Do you have a favorite pin-up bikini or flowy caftan? Maybe youve just been waiting for the right moment to show off those water wings! Showcase your sunny spirit as you mix and mingle while sipping summery libations, dance to tunes by Kitten LaRue, or groove to the surf garage trio The Delstroyers. Make sure to head over to the Camp BurlyCon photo booth to snap a selfie!
Hot Summer Night Dance
Fri 10:00pm to 1:30am
Come dirty-dance in your tacky khakis or camp couture. Dance the night away to tunes played by DJ Cherry OnTop. Special activities alongside the dance are the Shimmy Shake Room, where at 11:00 PM and 12:00 AM you will learn to electric slide and lead the conga line led by Camp Leader Jeez Loueez. For those who shy away from dance or crave a more competitive camp interaction, join Camp Leader Mr. Gorgeous in the Glamping Game Room at 10:30 and 11:30 PM, when you can strip out of a sleeping bag or enjoy a balloon-popping relay race. In the cuddle blanket fort, you can reflect on your memories of enchanted dancing under then moon and bonding with new burlesque campers. The night will be chaperoned by featured BurlyCon camp staff.
What to Expect: Come dressed according to the theme or just be yourself. Must keep boobies and booties covered until you get into the Convention Center! A bar will be provided by the hotel.
Tales Around the Glampfire
Sat 8:30pm to 10:30am
Oral history guides us as performers. Join your host Alotta Boutte and a panel of burlesque celebrities to hear a story from their burlesque journey. Modeled after the Moth Radio Hour, our storytellers will recall an episode in 5 minutes or less. Alotta Boutte will also read selected anecdotes submitted by the audience. Come prepared to listen and to share. A bar will be provided by the hotel.
What to Expect: Wear your PJs and bring a blanket. Chairs and floor seating will be available.
