AIACV Architecture Festival - Top of the City Tour
Take a long lunch break and see the City of Sacramento from a new perspective! This special tour will give you access to views of the City from some of its tallest buildings. AIA architects (and special guests) will be on-hand to describe what you are seeing from above and to provide information on the buildings you are standing in.

Sponsored by: Ascent Builders & KPFF Consulting Engineers

When: Monday, October 15, 12 noon - 3:00 p.m.

Cost: $10 / A signed release of liability required to participate. Participants will receive a wristband to gain entrance to multiple buildings.

Tour is self-paced. See all the views, a couple, or just one. You decide.

Pre-registered attendees may check in at any location, sign a release and receive a wristband if they want to visit other locations. Only registered attendees will receive tour locations.

Please wear comfortable shoes and note that children under the age of 10 and pets (except service animals) are not permitted.

About the Festival:

The central theme around the Central Valley Architecture Festival is an exploration of the identity of our region; the relationship of architecture  and design to our culture, landscape, climate and history.

Registration is limited to 75 participants.

The festival mission is three-fold:

1. Highlight existing relationships between the region and its architecture.

2. Create an ongoing dialogue to inform a distinct, regional, architectural identity.

3. Facilitate greater transparency with the public in how architects create our built environment and how it impacts their daily lives.

Festival Dates: October 12 to October 28, 2012

Founded in 1942 the American Institute of Architects, Central Valley Chapter, represents the interests of the architectural profession in 17 Central Valley counties.
