Doc Block 2:Skin Deep Films
Beautiful Me! seeks to diversify the definition of the word beauty through the inclusion of black girls and women of all hues by using fine art to immortalize and praise their worthy images on canvas.
Drawing on the Body explores the body as a means of expression through the art of tattoos. A series of interviews with tattoo artists were recorded in various settings including private one-on-one, a semi-public tattoo studio, and a fully public tattoo convention. Multiple perspectives of tattooing are explored through the lenses of gender, history and culture.
