Trees for the Wood
The play centers on 16-year-old Rochelle Acker and her family. Her mother, Regina is an eternal-adolescent, her father, Alton: curt and commanding, and her grandmother: mysteriously estranged. When Rochelle learns that Alton is gravely ill, she seizes the opportunity to reunite her father and grandmother.
Full of poetry, folk songs, movement, and magic, Trees for the Wood is a dark and gymnastic coming-of-age drama that reveals the power of sacrifice, honesty, and love.
