Lucy Wainwright Roche was born in NYC into two influential musical families (daughter of Loudon Wainwright III and Suzzy Roche). A full time touring musician, with an ever-expanding solo career, Lucy is known for her crystal clear voice, straightforward, humorous stage presence, and insightful, melodic songwriting. Her recordings include: 8 Songs, 8 More, Lucy and her brand new 2013 release CD called Theres a Last Time For Everything. Fairytale and Myth is the first collaboration between Lucy and her mother, Suzzy Roche and has been nominated for Best Singer/Songwriter Album of the Year by the Independent Music Awards.
Matt The Electrician despite the name, is no longer an electrician, focusing instead on a music career that has spanned the course of two decades, a dozen records, and literally thousands of shows. Its folk music for a modern age, rooted in lyrics that focus on the realities and challenges of the 21st century as opposed to, say, the old-school thrill of hopping trains. Throughout 2015 and 2016, hes focusing on a string of 7-inch vinyl singles. Every new release will focus on collaborations with different artists whove crossed Matts path over the years, including the bluegrass band Wood & Wire (who appear on the very first installment of the vinyl series), experimental solo musician Little Brave, and others.
