Chris Smither is a veteran of the music industry. Accompanying himself with masterful finger-picking and amplified foot-taps, his elegant lyrics are packed with little punches that land on your heart. A profound songwriter, Chris Smither draws deeply from the blues, American folk music, modern poets, and philosophers. Smither's most recent work, a 50-year retrospective double album, Still on the Levee, showcases his signature style: utterly confident and unafraid, filled with humility, humor, a knowledge of what inevitably lies ahead, yet refusing to succumb to darkness. Tonight, Chris will be joined by the celebrated guitarist and producer Goody Goodrich.
