MIKEL WRIGHT & THE WRONGS:
Based out of Minneapolis, Mikel Wright & The Wrongs brings some of the collective best of what Midwest has to offer. Mikel broke fast onto his local music scene in 2007 and has since earned a respected national reputation for cultivating ridiculous bands and unforgettable nights of music. Mikel's vision has been embraced by some of the best players in The Twin Cities. Due to his no nonsense attitude and natural ability to connect with audiences, players such as American Idol finalist Reed Grimm and The Voices star Nicholas David, as well as the very best from a city full of top notch musicians have chosen to join Mikel on the tour stage.
Being huge fans of bands like String Cheese Incident, Umphrey's McGee and Lettuce, their music is rooted in funk but transcends many genres with every set.
Mikel Wright & The Wrongs are always a get down!! Audiences will agree as they wipe the sweat from their brows and nurse sore legs from dancing.
With a well received debut album "We Get Down", and now their sophomore release "Album #2.0", they are touring nationally to spread the word!
THE PEOPLE BROTHERS BAND:
One of the staples of Madison's vibrant music scene, The People Brothers Band is an 8-piece Rhythm & Soul powerhouse and their only only desire is to get you moving on the dance floor. They are the winners of the Wisconsins Area Music Industry Award for 2014 Soul/R&B Band of the Year and the Madison Area Music Award for 2015 Pop/R&B Album of the Year (Middle of the In Between), 2013 Blues Album of the Year (People Brothers Live) & Blues Song of the Year (Looky Here Mister), but, most importantly, they are a family whose love for music and playing together shines brightly through each performance.
The PBB have hosted their own grass-roots, live music & camping festival, People Fest, every year since their first summer together in 2009. We are happy to announce that we are now starting our own music and camping venue called Driftless Music Gardens. It is located in Hillsboro, WI and this year we are going to be adding another festival, The Bonfire Music & Arts Festival. Check out the Driftless Music Gardens page for more info.
