$10 IN ADVANCE/$12 AT THE DOOR 9:30PM DOORS/10:30PM SHOWTIME 21+
THE ALY ALEIGHA BAND:
After recording her first EP in May of 2015, recognition for Aly Aleigha's original music began to grow. The Aly Aleigha Band began as a ragtag team of musicians who came together to play at a music festival in Duluth, MN; within a few months the band began to record a full-length album and was invited to perform at various concert events throughout the nation.
Aly met Peter (piano), Justin (guitar & vocals) and Ericka (violin) through her work at the UMD Newman Center. They had grown in friendship playing music together at various diocesan events, and the three were natural choices for additions to the band. When Aly still needed a bassist and drummer, Peter recommended his talented friends Matt and Ben. When possible, Aly's sisters Jessica & Stephanie join in with vocals--and with that, the band was complete!
This past May, Aly traveled with Jeff Cavins, evangelist and biblical scholar, as his cantor in the Holy Land. Jeff will also be at Aly's release show as the emcee for the evening.
The Aly Aleigha Band will be traveling to Philadelphia just after the release of her new album - The Labyrinth - to perform for over 3,000 people at AbbeyFest (Sept 24). She is honored to be the recipient of the 2016 AbbeyFest Emerging Artist Award - sponsored by AbbeyFest Ministries and Relevant Radio.
LUKE SPEHAR:
Luke grew up in a small rural community north of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, and found himself inspired by the simple, natural beauty of the outdoors. Drawing from these and other common human experiences like love, suffering, failures, and triumphs, Luke began writing songs at the age of 16 and composed all of the music on his debut album, Be still, before he graduated high school. He continued to write music throughout his college years, a time he devoted to discerning a potential call to the Catholic priesthood. The songs from his second album, No Other Way, were born during this challenging time of growth and reflection. Luke recorded and released Be still in 2010 and then released No Other Way one year later.
Following University, Luke felt drawn to focus his energy towards music and began recording and then performing around the country. Since then, he has performed for audiences of all ages, from concerts to retreats to memorials; in churches, clubs, and university auditoriums; for youth groups, colleges and for U.S. military events. In 2012, Luke was honored to open for Grammy Award-winning musician Ben Harper on tour in both the U.S. and Canada playing in such storied venues as Chicagos Cadillac Palace, Torontos Massey Hall and Philadelphias Merriam Theatre. In September 2014, Luke released his much-anticipated third album, All is Gift, co-produced by Ben Harper and Sheldon Gomberg. In January 2015, Luke Married his wife, Elizabeth Yetzer, and together, they are currently traveling the country releasing All Is Gift.
