Queen Hilma + Chance Peña
Queen Hilma:
Queen Hilma is twin sister-singer-songwriters from Green Bay Wisconsin. They grew up singing harmony with each other in the small town of Pulaski and began writing around the age of 10 in a big brown house on Nancy Lane.
After high school Andi and Alex moved to Sydney Australia where they attended school for music and ministry. There they met a hand full of people that continued to inspire their creativity and excitement for writing and performing.
Moving back home to Green Bay Wisconsin some years later, Queen Hilma began a small but important journey with those they met in Australia as a band called She the Monster. Their musical achievements with this band consist of an EP called Pacific and an album called Wayfarer. It was during this time that they realized the true uniqueness they possessed as a duo.
Moving forward they celebrated that uniqueness by trying out for NBCs The Voice season 9. Their appearance on the show gave them nationwide exposure and became the catalyst for their careers as a duo in 2016.
Chance:
Chance picked up his first guitar when he was 18 months old. It was a miniature mock up of a full sized guitar, but it had six strings and made noise! As he grew, so did his love for music.
He started with guitar lessons at the age of 8, and his passion for the guitar and music naturally led him to start writing his own songs. He wrote his first song at the age of 11. At the encouragement of his parents, he started to sing to other family members and his confidence continued grow. Chance took guitar and vocal lessons with Matt Magill, a local musician and songwriter, during the ages of 11 - 13. Matt asked him to perform a few songs at a local gig. Afterwards, he realized how calm and natural he felt on stage, and knew that music would be his life's pursuit.
At 15 years of age, Chance was a contestant on The Voice Season 9. His Blind Audition aired on September 29, 2015. Adam Levine turned his chair for this budding star, and Blake Shelton stole him during the Battle Rounds. He went home after the Knockout Rounds, but for the first time in The Voice history, four artists were chosen to come back for the Live Playoffs. He was Adam's Coach Comeback Artist! He did not make the Final 12, but he gained so much experience and made lifelong friends.
