Group Theory in association with IRT's 3B Development Series present a workshop
40 years ago, the last astronauts to set foot on the moon made their way back home, concluding the three-year period in which humans ventured beyond low Earth orbit. Last year, the five remaining Space Shuttles were officially retired and distributed to museums.
With our own fragile biosphere stressed to the brink and energy costs rising, human space exploration is a future receding rapidly into the past, undreamed by children, abandoned by science fiction for more earthly speculations.
Yet in the next ten years a bloom of private industry will bring space closer than ever before and to more people, and will finally reset our collective aspirations to walk on other worlds, beginning with our cold, dead neighbor Mars.
And the mission will be made possible by you.
Workshop Showing: Sunday July 8 2012 At IRT: 154 Christopher st. #3B (third floor) Tickets FREE Running time about 1 hour.
